Hey everyone. I run an Exchange server for my family's domain over my residential cable connection. Things are very solid, and I have plenty of bandwidth to spare (average 22 mb/s down and 1.5 mb/s up), but I am experiencing some problems with Direct Push all of the sudden. On my WM6 AT&T Tilt, I am getting email, but it's not as responsive as it used to be. In the application log in Event Viewer, I saw this message for the first time: The average of the most recent [200] heartbeat intervals used by clients is less than or equal to [540]. Make sure that your firewall configuration is set to work correctly with Exchange ActiveSync and direct push technology. Specifically, make sure that your firewall is configured so that requests to Exchange ActiveSync do not expire before they have the opportunity to be processed. For more information about how to configure firewall settings when using Exchange ActiveSync, see Microsoft Knowledge Base article 905013, "Enterprise Firewall Configuration for Exchange ActiveSync Direct Push Technology" (http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=3052&kbid=905013). To make it worse, I'm in the middle of migrating my Exchange 2003 server to Exchange 2007. I already have the box stood up on the domain, and have Exchange running w/o any major issues. So far, I've only moved one test account to it and ensured I had my connectors set up correctly. Mail is flowing in and out for the test account, so I'm thinking about moving the rest of the mailboxes over. I'm just a bit hesitant to do it until I get this problem sorted out. I guess the hardest part for me is figuring out how to configure the firewall in my D-Link DIR-655 router correctly. All the Microsoft guides talk about are how to configure ISA. Believe it or not MS, not everyone can afford every one of your products on their network.... Any suggestions for?
