I have a user in AD that I wanted to grant another user "Send As" rights on.  I went into the Advanced Feastures, Security, Added the User, and hit "allow" for Send As.  I've done this many times before for various users.

However, it appears that the two users I've attempted to grant Send As rights for, they still get an error that says "You do not have the permission to send on behalf of the specified user."

If I add the user as a delegate, they can 'send on behalf of' but that is not what I want to happen, I want to user to send 'from.'

Any ideas?

hi,

Pls make sure you don't have deny option selected for "send as" and go to the destination user mailbox properties -> exchange general -> Delivery options -> Send on behalf and add the user

I feel a bit silly.  I figured out the issue after reading another MS KB.  Basically the permission cache only updates every 120 minutes unless you set a quicker refresh or flip the MS IS service.  After 120 minutes, I was fine.
