Have an Outlook 2003 client getting this error: "The messaging interface has returned an unknown error. If the problem persists, restart Outlook." They get the error anytime they try to create a new email, reply, forward or anything. Tried creating new profile, uninstalling/reinstalling Outlook, PST repairs, etc. Searches (Google, Microsoft KB and here) are turning up with nothing... We have an Exchange 2003 SP2 FE/BE environment. Help! Thanks! mia

i don't whether u have this option in your outlook - Start Outlook
- Right-click the Folder List, and select Properties on the context menu.
- Click the Advanced button.
- Click "Allow upgrade to large tables."
- Click OK and OK.
To enable on the Corporate Workgroup version: - Start Outlook
- On the Tools menu, click Services.
- Click to select the Personal Folders service, and click Properties.
- On the General tab, click "Allow upgrade to large tables."
- Click OK.

Basically this message is telling you "the file cabinet is full" (Outlook) It can't hold one more message. You can't delete because the message is only going to another folder inside the file cabinet. Can't send - no space to hold the message. ******Super easy fix****** in any folder, deleted, sent, in box click on a message you want to delete. (start on the deleted folder...you have already deleted it once) Using.... shift+delete... get rid of the message. This method blows it out of Outlook completly. If you click on a message and holding the shift key down you can highlight many messages and get rid of them. After you get rid of about 30 messages you have enough "wiggle room" for the delete key to work. Keep dumping the deleted items folder as you are working in sent or the in box. Two new rules for your computer use. 1) "clean house" more often 2) for every new message that comes in....delete 5. You'll get your Outlook Program working back to normal. 1.8 GB is the capacity and that's a lot of mail.....
