I noticed today that my G:\ drive was completely full and users were having a hard time sending mail. I went around to all the users that had very large mailboxes i.e. 1.6 GB and archived there mailboxes and reduced the box considerably. IÆve now set up quota for the users so this wonÆt happen again. The .edb file has not decreased and the hard drive is still full.
Also having problems with my M:\ drive the log file (E000...) are 5,120k each, and filling up quickly, it creates a new file every 5 û 10 minutes.
Please help Lucio

Hi, Lucio:
The .edb file won't show any decrease until you stop the IS and run a defrag of the database.
The 5MB files are transaction logs which should be removed when you run a full backup. When was the last time a full backup was done?
Good luck! -Juancho

Hello Juancho,
Thanks for the reply, I've just started a defrag on the drive. It is running really slow! is this normal?.
My full backup was done on Friday, I'm using Back Up Exec 8.6 with exchange add on, is there a feature, so after the full back up is complete that it deletes those E000... 5 meg file?
Thank You Lucio
