Hi all,
I created a pst file on my computer, because my exchange mailbox was regulary full. The file was about 560 MB. Than I changed my computer, burned this file on a CD but on the new computer I always get the message, that the file is not a valid .pst file. But all my mails and contacts are stored in it, and before it worked. The outlook version is the same, and it has nothing to do with the server.
I tried the local program scanpst.exe but after using this, my pst file was empty. I have a copy of my file, but I don't know what I can do.
Do you have any idea? Please help me.
Thank you so much. Anja

If you copied the PST files from a CD remember to remove the checkmark in the read only attribute.

There's a linux tool called readpst which can "convert it into mbox, kmail, its own recursive format, or separate each email into its own file."
http://packages.debian.org/unstable/utils/readpst
