I'm looking to be alerted if and when server gets near the 16GB limit. (I've Exchange 2000)

I'm aware of Exchange 2003 SP2 and the new 75GB limit but money its not easy to get a commitment from management on when an upgrade is budgeted for.

Anyhoo, I'm reading this: Use the ESM Console to Monitor Your Servers and there seems no mention of an alert method for when the datastore is, say, around 15GB.

Am I missing something? Did MS not provide this functionality?

Within ESM, excand all the way down to mailbox level for your chosen store. Right-click the mailbox folder and click export list. Export it as a CSV and then open that in Excel. You can use that to calculate the total byte usage on your server.

Thanks! The sum of mailboxes is 12,428,712KB which is 11.85GB

So I've over 4GB left...is this correct? Do I have to add public folders as well?

Apologies if this is basic stuff but I don't like surprises when it comes to email!
