I have to migrate from a W2K domain with E2K - just one server acting as a DC to
a whole new domain with a new domainname, one new server with W2K3/E2K3. (Separate forests´s)

Is this the right way?

2-way trust between W2K AD and W2K3 AD
ADMTv3 to migrade user/computer accounts and SID history to make all computers log on to the new domain
Exchange Migration Wizard to migrade mailboxes (SID history move them to the right User accounts)

How do I move the Public Folders?
Will I have to do every Outlook profile by hand?
If I want new User-accounts, do I have to use ExMerge?

Hope someone can help me with this.
regards

Your plan looks good to me!

How do I move the Public Folders?

Either by hand, by copying the conten to a PST file and drag it over to the other org. Or by using the Inter-Org Replication Tool from Microsoft.

Will I have to do every Outlook profile by hand?

Either by hand if they are not to many, or by using a utility like EXPROFRE (Profile Redirector, free download from MS). There are other good third party tools for this aswell.

If I want new User-accounts, do I have to use ExMerge?

Exmerge or Exchange Migration Wizard can be used if you choose not to migrate your accounts with ADMT. If you use the Exchange Migration Wizard, disabled accounts will be created for you. You can then merge them with the real account with Active Directory Clean Up Wizard.

If you got a large organization, you might want to take a look at Quest Migration Manager for example. That tool makes it abit easier for you but cost quite alot.

Good luck!
