Hi guys,
I’m aware 32bit Exch2007 isn’t actually supported in a production environment but does anyone know if you had 32bit hub 2007 server in co-existance with a 2003 BE and then proceed to install a 64bit multirole 2007 server into the same Exch Org (with the intention of decommissioning both the single HUB and 2003BE would this pose any issues? I guess im asking are there things the 2007 hub instal doesnt do that 64bit one would to the environemnt, would we need to run /perparelegacy and /prepareschema again?

I’ve never thought or been asked before now really am not sure.

Thanks for any help here.

That's no problem at all. The other servers 'see' the Exchange but hey don't 'see' the fact that it's 32bit.

Thanks for your reply, and apologies for posting in the wrong section Ive just realised!

In addition to my question, so im correct in thinking that the required AD prep/changes would have been done by the hub role install, its the same for a multi role install? I ask as it was done by my predecessor and dont want to add the multi role into the org and find out it wasnt done correctly initially, would you re-run the /preparelegacy and /prepareschema again.. Or must these have been run and tbus AD is ready for a multi role install.

Many thanks Mark.

You're all prepped. You're good to go.
