Hello, I have this error 550 5.7.1 Unable to relay. I can send new messages, but when I resend an e-mail I receve this error 550 5.7.1 Unable to relay.

hi,
That is what i am looking for but not able to understand this language.

Few questions:
How many user facing this problem.
Are they able to send \receive email internally and externally?
Pls run EXTRA (www.exbpa.com)

Few questions:
How many user facing this problem. All who use Outlook 2007
Are they able to send \receive email internally and externally? Yes, but they can't fordward the message that receve

Pls run EXTRA (www.exbpa.com) OK...

hi,

Now check how the mail flows i.e. which are the devices coming into the picture.
try to telnet each one ip address
some time firewall or cisco pix might be the cause.
so lets start with basic..
telnetting....

i have exchange 2007.
when i use exchange account on outlook 2003 i could easily send mails but when i setup the same mail account with POP3 settings i get the error:

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

Subject: test now

Sent: 02/08/2007 4:02 PM

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:
'xxxxxxxx@hotmail.com' on 02/08/2007 4:02 PM
550 5.7.1 Unable to relay

i can't understand where the problem lies. and the problem that i can't recieve mails also on exchange or pop3.
any help
i ran BPA and all tools and no error.

the problem with exchange client i can send with pop3 and smtp settings i can't send though both uses the same send connector!!

check the setting on send connector.

i foud out where the problem lies. if i used secure port in smtp sendind settings in advanced options in connection tab in e-mail accounts in outlook i can send but the problem that there's a warning that the certificate the server send is not trusted.
how to issue a trusted certificate using a local CA?
can u tell me step by step plz.
