I am attempting to install Exchange 2010 and migrate mailboxes from the 2003 Exchange. During the installation it states to remove the active directory connector. I know how to do this but what will happen to the current production exchange 2003 server. Will I be able to still administrate it during the migration?

You still have ADC installed? That shouldn't be any issue unless you still have Exchange 5.5 in your environment.

igarta,

An ADC (active directory connector) is only required if you are migrating from Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2000/2003. Its purpose is to synchronize Exchange 5.5's directory with Active Directory. You can uninstall it with no issues with migrations to Exchange 2010.

I deleted the Active Directory Connect. Now when I go to Active Directory Users and Computers, I have no Exchange TABS.

The Exchange tabs in ADUC appear when the computer you are using has the Exchange System Tools installed. Removing only the ADC should not have affected that.
