Hi All,
I have been tasked with finding the best way to disable OWA for everyone except for a group of users. I thought I would be able to create a distribution group and then enable OWA to that group, but I was reading in another forum that I would actually have to do it by specific user...

Anyone know anything about it? Any help or advice would be appreciated!

set-casmailbox

Either put all the users you want in a csv/txt file and read that, or put the owadisabled users in an OU and then set-casmailbox against that OU...

Basically, whatever you can do to read the group of users then pipe that through set-casmailbox.

No one at a time needed.

But you can't do it via security or distribution group? Only by OU or by putting all the usernames in a .txt/.csv?

Thanks for your help.

Here is how you do it via groups...for anyone interested:

Steps followed:

1. Disable for all users
EMS: get-casmailbox | set-casmailbox –OWAenabled $false
2. Created Distribution group called “OWA Enabled Group” via EMC
3. Added users to distribution group in AD
4. Enabled OWA for distribution group
EMS: get-distributiongroupmember “OWA Enabled Group” | set-casmailbox –OWAEnabled $true

Will I need to run the command each time I add someone to the group or does it auto-update itself?
