Assistance with DAG Configuration - 28.Mar.2012 1:22:14 PM

I have two different datacenters where I would like to deploy DAG.

Primary Datacenter
Exchangemail --> Mailbox Role
ExchangeFE1 --> CAS, HUB
ExcahngeUM --> UM Role

Secondary Datacenter
ExchangeMail2 --> Mailbox
Exchangefe2 --> CAS, HUB
ExcahngeUM2 --> UM Role

The secondary datacenter doesn't require us to have clients connect to it when the primary datacenter is working so I don't need active/active.

I am trying to figure out whether I need a load balancer or not or if I need a witness server at the primary site. I was trying to follow Henrik's article but my scenario is a bit different as I dont have a CAS array or multiple HUB/mailbox servers at each datacenter.

Anyone have any documentation for this scenario?

Do you want to create DAG between site NY and NC?
Generally Speaking, if you lose network connections to NY from NC, the database copy will suspend automatically
until the network connection is recovered. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread. Thanks Gen Lin-MSFT
