We connect to the Exchange 2003 server remotely to use pop, OWA, and imap mail. Will any of these connections need to use Anonymous Authentication?
Which one uses Basic?
Digest?

We want to shut off Anonymous Authentication, but we don't want to deny our remote users the opportunity to send / receive mail.

Thanks in advance.

Hello dlran,

For POP3/IMAP/OWA you don't need to grant anonymous authentification, basic (with SSL) should be just fine.

It's only needed to enable digest authentification, if your users are using for example OWA internally on your network.

Regards
