Hello,

This is my first post on the forum. Please help...

I brought my company into the 21st century when I joined by implementing Exchange 2007. The system is stable and we take advantage of both OWA and ActiveSync.

I am able to manually configure Outlook 2007 to connect from outside of the network, but AutoDiscover will not work!
This also causes a problem for a MAC user that I have...

********************** RESULTS *********************************

Below are my results from https://www.testexchangeconnectivity.com

Please be aware that our ActiveSync for iphone / smartphone and OWA work without fault... Not sure what is wrong in IIS or if indeed IIS is the problem.

What type of SSL certificate do you have implemented in IIS on the Exchange CAS server?
How many Exchange servers do you have? What roles do they hold?
Have you configured your external URLs properly (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb332063.aspx)?

Hi,

Thanks for getting back to me...

I recently upgraded to the UCC cert and it seems that this is accepted ok. It seems to authenticate the cert and then errors.
I just run the one server. Running all roles.
External URLs have been double checked...

HELP! LOL

I assume OWA is working with no issues? Are your users connecting through ISA to gain access to OWA and activesync? Are you using Outlook AnyWhere and is it working (externally)?

Hi jveldh & de.blackman... (and all)

Many thanks for getting in touch. I still have this issue!

OWA is running fine from both within the org and from outside. We have had OWA working well for some time. We do not have ISA... Users connect in, hitting our CISCO Rounter. The ports seem to be ok as the test I have run gets past that stage and seem to fail at authentication.

We are not using Outlook Anywhere externally at the moment. When I have tested 2007 from home, I dont think it is authenticating properly and I have to enter details manually.

The main reason I need to get this sorted is that i have a Dorector who is using a MAC internally and he is unable to get his Calendar to connect to the exchange server. It has the option but it fails when I try to set it up. He is using Snow Leopard with the new exchange support.

I have gone into IIS and autodiscover.... (below are the settings selected)

Basic Authentication (Ticked) - No other options are ticked

Anonymous Access at the top is NOT ticked.

No Realm has been selected... Default domain is the same as OWA

All these settings are the same as those in OWA which is working...

PLEASE HELP - If someone can remote to this machine and fix - I will paypal 50 of my own money...
