Looking for some assistance with what I think is an Autodiscover issue.

Our company has recently moved to an externally hosted Exchange provider, moving oway from our own SBS2008 box for email.

The issues is getting Outlook to stay connected to the external server as it keeps prompting to log into our local server and then fails!

I think this is Autodiscover forcing Outlook to use our server - is there a way to stop autodiscover or tell it where our new server is?

many thanks in advance.

Do you still have autodiscover in DNS?

1. Get rid of any CNAME or A records for “autodiscover”, and any wildcard “*” records in the public DNS zone. This is a critical step, so don’t just drift past it.
2. Build the SRV record to look like this:

Service: _autodiscover
Protocol: _tcp
Port Number: 443
Host: remote.smallbizco.net
