Autodiscover problem? - 14.Jul.2015 6:36:28 AM

Hi,
I have just deployed my first Exchange 2013 Server and I have run into an issue.

I have found that if a user is using a non domain joined PC they are unable to connect to Exchaneg using Outlook. When trying to create the profile I can get it to accept the user and server details and underlines them, but when I try to open outlook I get the following message:

"Cannot open your default e-mail folders. Microsoft Exchange is not available. Either there are network problems or the Exchange Server is down for maintenance."

The domain based users are all working happily so I know the server is working correctly and the laptop I was uing was connected to the local network so it is not a VPN issue.

To test things out I have tried to telnet to autodiscover.domainname.com on port 443, this works locally but not from the non domain joined laptop.

I have looked at the firewall rules and there is a rule for https which was limited to the domain area so I have opened this tule up, but it has not helped.

I have tried running the following command at the exchange console:

get-clientaccessserver |fl autodiscoverserviceinternalurl

The result was a blank line.

Has anyone come across this before? If so please can you help?

Thanks,
