i have another exchange server on a seprate server machine with the same organization name. i need to copy all the mail boxes and make the extra server ready for any emergency, kindly let me know what folders of exchange servers are to be copied to another backup server and how to make the mail boxes of users avalable to work as they are residing at the orignal server.

I assume you are trying to have a warm standby of your production exchange server. This will be a bit hard as the servers would need the same name.

If you are.. your best bet is to make copies of your *.edb and *.log files and move them on to the backup server, again your still stuck with the server name issue, but as long as you understand how to rename and replace exchange data files you can work around that.

While do able I would not recommend doing it unless you are truely sure you can pull it off.
