We have Exchange 2000.
We have a two node passive / active cluster for our Exchange environment.
We currently backup through our public enterprise network.
We want to improve our backup performance by backing up through a private backup vlan.
Each node has a separate backup NIC defined as the "backup network".
It's also defined in the cluster.
We use CA Arcserve.
Our backup network doesn’t use DNS.
I'm being told I need to use a host name.
As anyone used a host name to backup through a separate backup NIC?
