Hello! I have a couple of questions regarding backup and restore of Exchange 2003. First of all, if I were to do a backup, by just copying the files manually, which files do I need to copy to be sure that I get everything (Settings, mailboxes, usernames, contact lists and so on).
Second, I found some very nice tutorials on backing up exchange from the command line with ntbackup. Is there a way to restore from the command line, so that it can be done without any user input at all? I saw in the ntbackup help file that it is not possible there, so are there any other alternatives available out there?
Regards, Dan

To backup Exchange you need to backup the edb databases and the transaction logs.
Settings are stored in Active Directory, so a System STate back of one of the DCs will do.
