All other dbs' backups are fine. Only one db's backup never stops.
I checked the event view, the edb [size 16772 MB] started at 8:26 am of 1/28/2012 and the stm [56862 MB]started at 8:34:27 AM. The edb starting ending backup at 8:34:27 AM, but stm is still running.

What' s the possible problem?

You never said how long the STM backup had been running. As it is over three times the size of your EDB, it will certainly take longer.

Also, you didn't say what backup software you are using and whether you've consulted with that product's support.
