Can I share "my" calendar with someone outside my company/network?  If so, what do I need to do to enable this?

Not really.
You can only share with someone who has an account on your domain. Once they have that they could login to OWA.

Otherwise you are looking at some kind of publishing of the calendar, which is something that Outlook does, not Exchange. Look in Outlook for "Internet Free/Busy". I have never used it so cannot comment on how well it works.

Simon.

Sipstate, if you are using Office2007/Outlook 2007, then you can use the Internet Free/Busy option.
