 Hello,

after preparing my server to install microsoft exchange server, i get this message after selecting "install" in den component drop down box i get this message:

The component "Microsoft Exchange Services for Messaging und Collaboration" can't be installed.

Rreason:
- The NNTP-Component of Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) is not installed or deactivated.
- The SMTP-Component ofMicrosoft Internet Information Services (IIS) is not installed or deactivated.
- Setup has noticed, that ASP.NET 1.1 is not installed. This component is needed for Outlook Web Access.

(Messagebox has been translated, but still, it provides all information).

The bad thing is that all of these services that could not be found are installed and running.. at least i installed them and hope that they are running. what did i do wrong?

Status: offline 		Open Add/Remove Programs, then Add/Remove Windows Components, Internet Info Services (IIS), Details
and tick options for:
NNTP Service
SMTP Service

Click OK and have Windows CD ready.
Then you can install Exchange.

 The problem is that both items, the NNTP and the SMTP entry were already checked and installed. [Frown]
