Hey all, I'm working on my 70-236 training and I've had to reinstall Exchange 2007 a couple of times on my home network (my own fault). This time I've hit a bit of a snag. I'm trying to reinstall Exchange (2007 SP3 trial) and in the Exchange Server 2007 SP3 Setup page in the Client Access Role Prerequisites section I'm getting the following error message:

The nominated Exchange server for offline address book 'Default Offline Address Book' has been deleted. Nominate a valid server and restart setup.

There are no valid servers; this is going to be the only server on my network. SO, is there a way to nominate an Exchange Server that is getting installed to be the Default Offline Address Book?

Thanks,

Joe B

Did you ran /preparead? Run the preparead and install the server.

Yes, I did /prepareschema and /preparead.

I was able to get things working by running adsiedit and removing the previous Exchange Servers from Active Directory. After that I did the install and it completed without any problems.

Thanks,

Joe B
