Hi,

I can't get exchange to send any mail out. I have checked using nslookup and telnet and both produce the required results.

All the settings of the virtual server are set to defaults. My exchange server is begind an ISA server. Incoming mail works fine

my mail server can be found at mail.loughlin.tv

Everything is working now. Turned out to be a problem with ISA server.

Run the Secure Mail Wizard on ISA.

If you did once before, try again and/or remove the settings and then continue. Be sure that SMTP service on ISA is not running.

There is something wrong, when I run the Secure Mail Wizard, the Outgoing SMTP is disabled. Is there anything missing on configuration?

Be sure that SMTP service is not running on the ISA server (unless this is the Exchange server as well).

Otherwise, not sure...try http://forums.isaserver.org/

Hey Guys, I have a similar problem with mail not going out but except it it will send some domains mail yet other domains the queues properties will state "An SMTP protocol error occurred." I've checked my ISA settings stated here and to my limited knowledge they seem ok. Exchange 2000's also seem right. If you guys have any ideas or can tell me what to check/recheck it would be appreciated.

I have the same problem, I didn't set the exchange server up. I can send to all domains except one. Somewhere it must have mail going to that domain routed internally. Where should I look??

Im having no luck at all with SMTP mail. We can receive mail, but cannot send. Are there any clear cut steps for checking that all is set up properly??? Thanks!

I'm having a problem with SMTP Outgoing Mail. It was working before U installed Exchange Server on the same server having ISA Server, DHCP, DNS Server on one Server. All mails are just sitting on Queues, could someone help me figure this out? One thing more, how do i setup an MX record on DNS server?
