We have multiple domain names, and for one of the ancillary domain names that was set to come into our Exchange server, I recently changed the MX record to point to Google's Apps service (https://www.google.com/a/smallbiz/) where they host a domain name for you, handle the mail, provide collaboration tools, etc. All for free, very cool. Anyways, it's been about 3 weeks since I changed the MX record, and I have no problem receiving mail in the new Google hosted account from any other domain that sends to it, except if I send it through our own Exchange server (the one that previously accepted mail for it), in which case it bounces back with a message saying: The following recipient(s) could not be reached: xxxxxxx@systecinc.com on 12/5/2007 10:29 AM The e-mail account does not exist at the organization this message was sent to. Check the e-mail address, or contact the recipient directly to find out the correct address. <gatekeeper.abtechsystems.com #5.1.1> I've removed the SMTP entry in the recipient policy in the Exchange System Manager (Recipients --> Recipient Policy --> Default Policy --> E-Mail Addresses Policy), and then deleted all of the individual SMTP aliases for each user in their domain profile. I have rebooted the Exchange server since I made the change to the MX record, and also rebooted our firewall, which has no entry for this domain name anywhere I can find it. I also verified using NSLOOKUP on the server that the MX records for the domain name I changed all point to Google, which they do. I'm pretty sure there is nothing in the DNS server (which is also on the Exchange server) in regards to this domain name, my gut tells me there is some other reference in the Exchange System Manager saying it is the one that should be accepting mail for this domain. Any suggestions?
