Can not send email from 03 exchange to 07 but can send email from 07 to 03???

I am in the middle of a 2003 to 2007 migration and having issues. Both servers see each other perfectly fine, all connectors are connected as far as i can tell. I can NOT send an email from a 2003 mailbox to a 2007 mailbox but i can send an email from 2007 mailbox to 2003. What gives? its like the 2003 can send email to mailboxes on 2007??

I also can not send email from the outside to a mailbox on 2007 but i can to a mailbox on 2003.

are the servers in the same forest and site?

Check that your default SMTP server doesn't have and SMART Host Assigned

We had this exact problem when moving over from 2000, when you created your temporary connectors (the ones that talk internally) did you make them two way??

We had this and had to (via powershell) create the two way connector relationship between the two systems. Have a look for the command, if I can find I will post back.
