Greetings, We have a group named allemployees (allemployees@companyabc.com) that we use to send Emails to all employees in the organization. I noticed someone can send emails from, for example gmail, yahoo or any external emails by using this address. I am not an exchange administrator and I need to keep the company people to send mails to that group through their outlook, but it must be disabled from beeing used from outside the company. How do I do that? Thank you

Do you have Symantec Mail Security installed? Do you have SP2 installed for Exchange? Check this link as well http://support.microsoft.com/?id=840719

Look, if it is FROM - this means that your server is acting as a relay agent. If it is TO this can be avoided. Please re-confirm on this part. FROM or TO.

Greetings, We are using Exchange 2003 v6.5 build 7638.2 SP2 and antigen 9.1.1097 SP1. Here is the situation: - We have a group that is named allemployees. - We can send emails using outlook to the group allemployees from within our network. - And here is the problem. I log into my gmail account (or yahoo, or hotmail, or whatever other email account). In the TO: box, I type allemployees@company.com and that emails is received by every employee in the group allemployees. I want to make impossible to anyone not using outlook in our network (using our Exchange mail service in fact) to send any email to that group. Where do I do the change? Thank you

You may want to alter DG Email addresses. However, please do tell me how would an outsider have information about this group so that any outsider can spam it. Also, what you could do is - using the below link set restriction for anyone sending emails to this group apart from the authorized list of senders. http://technet.microsoft.com/pt-br/library/aa996956(EXCHG.65).aspx
