Hello,

Creating a user in the AD works fine. Creating a new mailbox using Exchange tasks receives a successful message. But the mailbox never shows up in Exchange. This has been working for 2 years now, but all of the sudden, it fails.

Before, one had to send a message to the mailbox or try to access the mailbox first. We also forced Recipient Updates services. All to no avail.

Where to look?

make sure they get stamped with an SMTP address, if not ensure your rus is working.

i seem to be having the same issue as well. This box has worked for ever and now it just started doing this.

This was a work around for me when I had this problem. we are building a new server now, so hopefully a lot of issues will go away....

Try creating a user and not letting it create the mailbox at the same time. Let AD replicate and then go back and click on Exchange Tasks and Create Mailbox. Make sure and send them a test email to get the mailbox set up.

Hope this might help a little.

Create a new user and see if they are getting stamped with an SMTP address. If they don't get stamped troubleshoot the Recipient Update Service. Wait at least 15 mins for the user to get stamped though.
