Hello,
I have a problem getting access to the public folders in Exchange System Manager.
As far as I know it has something to do with the TCP port of the Exchange Servers' IIS. The Port on my server is changed from 80 to another value.
How can I solve the problem? Thanks in advance,
Thomas

There is no message at all - the System Manager just hangs.
I was told, that the exadmin Website needs port 80. I'll reconfigure it and see what happens.

I have recently started to get this on a test SBS2003sp1 server. Everytime I try and expand the default PF tree in ESM the application hangs.
The CPU usage goes through the roof and stays at 100% until I quit the application. Granted it's not a fast proc (1.6Ghz + 1GB RAM) but it's a test box with only a few sample accounts on it.
I am wondering whether it is to do with the 16384MB default limit on PF being exceeded? I doubt whether port 80 is the culprit as I have IIS6.0 running on 80 on the same internal box and it still hangs...
Any ideas?

Last weekend I reonf4igured my IIS from port 80xx to 80 an now it works. I was told by a number of people that exadmin needs port 80 and that no other port would work.

Well, I tried that this evening -10 mins ago in fact- and it still isn't working. If I use MMC or ESM, when I try and expand the ALL PF tree it just hangs and crashes.
I am running W2003 sp1, EX2003 sp1 on SBS2003 sp1 and I need to mail enable two PF's.
Can you mail enable PF's from the command line?
Dave

We're seeing the same thing happen here in our environment, as we migrate from E2k to E2k3. I believe it's a permissions issue between the servers, but can't prove this. I know there was a permissions change in AD to the DA group recently, and it may correspond to when this started showing up.
Anyone have a recent success fixing this issue?

This is happening to me as well. I recently migrated from one e2k3 server to another within the same org. I decommissioned the old server. I believe it has something to do with permissions on the system folders somehow, however i am unable to prove it and nothing i've done seems to make any change.

Crap - 5 minutes after i posted this i figured it out...
On my "default website", under directory security > secure communications > edit, i had "require secure channel (ssl)" option checked. Makes no difference if i have "require 128 bit encryption" checked. As soon as i unchecked require ssl on the default website i was able to traverse the PF tree via ESM.
