Hello,
I'm running Exchange 2003 on Small Business Server 2003. My network is made up of two client computers, and the server. These are all connected to a D-Link DI-624. The clients connect wirelessly, and the server is wired. The WAN port is connected to my cable modem, and the built-in firewall in the router is configured as recommended by MS.
I recently swapped out wireless nic's, and swapped back (from 802.11b to 802.11g and back) and since this swap out, I have not been able to get Outlook to connect to my exchange server. I have verified all other connections work: DHCP, DNS, RWW, Terminal Server, even OWA is working.
I do not know what to do next. I have even installed Outlook 2003 on the server to verify that it can communicate with the server, and it works normally.
The only thing I haven't tried is running a cable from the closest workstation to the router, my 50' cable disappeared.
If you have any ideas on what I should do, please reply to this post, and cc to srectorNO@SPAMcompute-ease.com.
Thanks!

Can you from a client ping the Exchange Server successfully both on it's IP address and FQDN (Fully Qualified Domain Name)?
If yes you might want to check RPC connectivity between the the client(s) and the Server, this can be done with the help of RPCPING.EXE included in the Windows 2003 Server Resource Kit, which can be downloaded from below link:
Windows Server 2003 Resource Kit Tools
You may also try to recreate the Outlook profile.

Ok...here are the errors:
Task 'Microsoft Exchange Server' reported error (0x8004011D) : 'The server is not available. Contact your administrator if this condition persists.'
and
Task 'Microsoft Exchange Server - Sending' reported error (0x8004011D) : 'The server is not available. Contact your administrator if this condition persists.'
I can successfully ping the server using NamedPipes only. TCP/IP and NetBIOS RPCPing's fail. I used rpings on the server and rpingc on the client to test this. Do/does this help you?

More information - I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Outlook 2003, and that did not resolve the issue. Also, I can use \\servername\sharename to get into the server and from the server into the workstation.

Have you been able to resolve the name of the Exchange Server when setting up the Outlook profile?
