I'm trying to install SP1 for Exchange 2K7 but it fails on the section for 'Unified Messaging Server Role' with the following error:

This role cannot be installed because the following roles are not current:
MailboxRole

Any ideas?

i had the same problem in my test environment and I had to uninstall the original e2k7 and run the installation of e2k7 sp1.

Is the Mailbox role installed on the same server with Unified Messaging Server Role? if not, you may want to upgrade the Mailbox server to SP1 first before upgrading the UM role .The correct order to upgrade to SP1 :
1. CAS role,
2. HT role,
3. Mailbox role,
4. UM role.
