Hi, I installed edge transport server to DMZ leg of the ISA Server. I can send mail to any Internet address without problem but I can't receive mail from Internet. Edge synchronization was successful. Edge can telnet to Hub transport from port 25 and can solve dns name of it. I can see e-mails which is sent from Internet within the queue but those mails are not leaving the queue. How can I solve this delivery problem? Thanks, Burak

Could it be the Edge Transport server is suffering from back pressure? This will suspend all incoming e-mail messages. You can find out whether this is the issue by checking the Application log. For more info see: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb201658.aspx

I can nor receive neither send e-mail (except internal messaging). There are two send connectors which is automatically created during edgesync process. EdgeSync - sitename to Internet EdgeSync - Inbound to sitename (in address space tab and network tab two dashes "--" entered for domain name and smart host - is it normal?) I also ran test-edgesynchronizaton command from powershell. Results are: ConnectionResult : Succeeded FailureDetail : LastSynchronized : 15.04.2007 16:23: CredentialStatus : Synchronized TransportServerStatus : Synchronized TransportConfigStatus : Synchronized AcceptedDomainStatus : Synchronized SendConnectorStatus : NotSynchronized MessageClassificationStatus : NotSynchronized RecipientStatus : Synchronized While tracking queue viewer in edgetransport, I'm getting this error sometimes: Microsoft Exchange can't connect to the Queue Viewer server on computer "servername". Verify that the Microsoft Exchange Transport service is started. Despite of this message, service is working. In Application log of Edgetransport, there are two errors: Source: Microsoft Exchange Serv Event ID: 5000 EventType e12, P1 c-rtl-amd64, P2 08.00.0685.020, P3 edgetransport, P4 m.e.t.a.s.core, P5 m.e.s.spfmacro.cctor, P6 system.indexoutofrangeexception, P7 6d1d, P8 08.00.0685.020, P9 NIL, P10 NIL. * edge server can telnet to outside mail servers (port 25) * outside mail servers can connect to edge server (port 25) * hub transport can telnet to edge server (port 25) * edge server can telnet to hub server (port 25) so ISA configuration should not be an issue.
