Hi, We are small not-for-profit organization and plan on deploying exchange 2007. With limited budget, I am currently testing exchange 2007. Since our ISP provide dynamic IP Address and blocked port 25, we acquired DNS and mail relay service using port 2525 from dyndns.org and created MX record successfully. We can receive e-mail from external organization users, but cannot send any e-mail outside of our internal network. It was discovered that our ISP also blocked outbound port 25 so I purchased additional service (outbound mail hop) from dyndns.org. The dyndns only provide their mail relay server address which is (outbound.mailhop.org) we do not have edge transport server and I feel that the issue lies somewhere on SMTP connector, after many hours to days several difference method of configurations, I could not figure it the problem. Can anyone help me on the following and point me to right direction? Many Thanks Regards, Imran

Sounds like you need to smarthost your send connector. Search the help file for "how to create a send connector." The instructions in that are pretty specific and I have never had any issues using that method. quote:

I have tried several times putting SMTP addresses under smarthost and it did not worked, but a simple “ mark under namespace resolved the issue. Which leads me to another question; if I am using my ISP SMTP address under smarthost does that act as an SMTP relay? Thanks in an advance
