I read that there was an option to set a catch all mailbox in Exchange 2007, but am unable to find it. Can someone please point me in the right direction? If it dosen't exist, what would I need to code something similar to the trick for Exchange 2003 in VS2005? Thanks!

Noone knows how to get this set up? I really need this feature. Might have to go back to 2003 until someone finds a way to do it .

I'm pretty sure such a feature isn't included in E2K7, and it doesn't look like you can create a Transport rule that will do this either.

But just to be sure I've forwarded your question on to someone who should be able to give come up with a straight answer.

Thanks. I have currently moved to using a Windows XP system to recieve all mail, and running a script on a timer to modify the recipient addresses and send them to the exchange server. This is currently very inconvenient.

Can you explain what you are trying to do, I don't really understand what you mean.

Are you looking to keep a copy of all emails in another mailbox (catch all)

Robbie

Hello, has anyone come up with a solution for this?  I also need to be able to accomplish this in Exchange 2007.  The idea is that incoming mail addressed to a correct domain but to a non existent user will be delivered to a mailbox of your choice instead of being rejected.  This is quite easy to accomplish in Exchange 2003 but I can not figure it out in Exchange 2007.  There does not seem to be a transport rule available since there is no option for "mail from outside to non existenet user".  If there was you could then redirect it to said dump mailbox.  Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks,

I think you can create a transport rule for this action in an Edge Transport. Edge Transport have the predicate anyofrecipientaddresscontains. Which is probably the test we need.

However I do not wish to deploy yet another 64bit server.

I am still looking to find a method of doing this on a Hub Transport Role.

Transport Rules at the organization level should be able to help you. ( Hub Transport Server).

Using an organization level transport rule, what condition do I select?  I know the action to perform, but not the condition that would trigger the rule.
