Recently my SSL certificate purchased through Go Daddy expired and automatically renewed. Go Daddy informed me I needed to update my Exchange Server 2003 with this updated certificate. I have searched and searched. Can someone please tell me where to enter this information? I am receiving a Certificate Error message on my OWA as well as I am unable to set up a new Android 3 phone with MS ES2003 and Corporate Sync provided on the phone. I have worked with Motorola's technical support who tried to set it up through GMail as well as Touchdown. I receive a Cannot Connect to the Server error message. We are concerned it may have something to do with the SSL Certificate renewal. I only have 14 days to test the function of this phone or must return it, and am running out of time. I have been working on this for 3 days now and have had the phone for 5.
1. I have an updated SSL certificate from Go Daddy. How/where do I install this on my Exchange Server 2003?
2. Has anyone had any problems with linking the Android 3 to Exhange Server 2003 via Gmail? Or, this problem could possibly be resolved once Step 1 is resolved.
It works up to Step 12 where it wants me to look for a file with the extension of *.p7b. I have this on my server's C drive, however it's a 2009 file. The files Go Daddy provided me are two files that end in .crt. Suggestions?
One last question, hopefully, Go Daddy provided (2) files and indicates both must be installed, an email.xxxx.com file and a gd_bundle file. I assume I would follow the same procedure for both files?
I would recommend you contact Go DAddy and find out what these files are and how to import them as I have never purchased certificates from them unfortunately. Maybe someone else on the forum may be able to assist.

I did contact Go Daddy, who sent me instructions for Exchange Server 2007, that do not coincide with commands in 2003, so I did not proceed any further. This is what lead me to this forum. I'll try to look at them again to see if I can translate the instructions to 2003. Or, if anything, I'll try your instructions for the one file and see if it works.
Do you think this could be the problemd with my Android 3 not being able to connect to the server? I've tried so many different ways to connect, and always receive a Cannot Connect to the Server error message.
I've tried to follow the Go Daddy instructions, which happen to be the same instructions as provided in the link for IIS6. I have a few problems:
1. After Step 18, it wants me to save the Console1, so I do, which in turn puts it in the Program directory under Administrative Tools as Console1.msc. I'm not sure this should have happened since it wasn't mentioned in the directions.
2. I complete the balance of the steps except when I reach Step 23 it's not what I see. I click on "Default Website" for Step 20. My results show lines that indicate Renew, Remove, Replace, Export and Copy, not Process pending request....
3. I checked the version of the MMC, which is MMC3, V5.2. Could there be a different set of instructions I should follow?
4. I have also tried double clicking the certificate when it's in the C drive. It takes me to a wizard which shows the certificate is installed. Just as it showed in the MMC panel. However, nothing shows up under "default website" as indicated in the instructions. I do not have an option to click on "website or host name for your certificate" as indicated in Step 20.
The problem is a combination of godaddy customer service being kind of terrible, and their instructions making assumptions that are not always true.
You are replacing a certificate, but the only instructions godaddy has assume a first time install for a certificate. That being said, I've found it easier to remove your current cert and install a new one. The logical choice - replace certificate - simply doesn't seem to work.
So.. to fix your problem.
Remove your current certificate using the wizard. It saves it for you so you can just replace it if you screw up terribly.
Once you do this, when you start the certificate wizard again you will get the option to create a new certificate request. From that point you can just follow the go daddy instructions.
If you look up godaddies instructions for re-keying a certificate, and installing a certificate the instructions between those two should get everything installed for you.
