Hi to all experts...

I have configured RPC over HTTPS many times, but this is the first time I am trying to configure RPC over HTTP (and not HTTPS) in one of my client's n/w....and the reason being they want to make it work inside the n\w before making it to work externally (from internet)...to give you a brief idea about the n/w setup..its as below

Internet <=> ISA2006 <=> Front-end Server <=> Firewall <=> Back-end Server

Yeah, I know the Firewall between the FE and BE doesn't make any sense here...but that's the way it's setup and I really cannot do anything about it...

And the reason I mentioned RPC over HTTP because currently they do not have certificate installed on the FE server, as they have published it on the ISA box and they don't want to install on FE exchange server...so the only option left for me to is to configure it via HTTP.

1) I can confirm that FE can telnet to BE on 6001, 6002 & 6004. FE can telnet GC's on 6004.

2) I can confirm the valid ports registry key has been setup correctly and is in place on the FE.

3) All the GC's have the NSPI registry key as well.

4) I can browse the rpcproxy.dll (even from the client machine) and do get the expected blank page.

5) Since we need to offload SSL, I added the "AllowAnonymous" registry key on the FE server.

6) Since the Outlook on the client machine needs to ignore SSL, I have added "EnableBasicAuthNonSSL" registry key under Outlook on the client machine as well.

7) The authentication on RPC VD in IIS is Basic and while configuring Outlook, the authentication method is Basic as well.

So can someone plz tell me if I am missing anything here...as the Outlook is still not able to connect to the Exchange server.
