We plan on having a single Backend in a separate location for DR. We will be SAN replicating from primary site to DR. When we need to use our DR Backend, and we present the replicated LUN to exchange, how can we create the database on the DR Exchange Backend to use that new LUN? I know with Exchange 2007 you can run a switch on new-mailboxdatabase with -islocalcopy command but how would this be done on Exchange 2003?

Hi,

In Exchange 2003 you can't do this. I think you should use a feature that you SAN has like snapshotting of something is the easiest way to solve this.
