I have roughly 11 Exchange 2003 Servers (ent) which are all configured basically the same way. I just noticed that my Transaction, SMTP, and DB logs are all on the same drive. Picture of my largest DB files is attached. What is my best recourse to manage the DB sizes my blackberry blows up every morning at 640 saying that my cluster node is at 95% capacity so I have to delete and free up 20-30 gigs of space daily from all servers. I am in the process of trying to let management allow me to redesign my storage groups and implement mailbox limitations on my users, but if someone can give me a some guidance on making space in the interim until I can get the environment stable again I would appreciate it. couldnt add the pic showing my priv and pub pub1.edb is 249GB pub1.stm is 46GB Priv1.edb is 60GB Priv1.stm is 17GB

The Microsoft mantra is to have three separate storage areas. One for the OS and App, one for the databases, one for the transactional logs. Note that they are most effective if they are separately physically, so that the drive heads are not shared. In other words, a drive partitioned into two or three logical drives is not as effective as three separate drives (or drive sets). Recommended is RAID1 for the OS/App, RAID1 for the log files, RAID5 or 1+0 or RAID6 for the databases. You can separate the public folders and mailbox stores if you need to create more space (and if you have somewhere to move it). Does that answer your question?
