Hi,

Just want to ask if Dag between win2k8 R2 Ent & Datacenter will work or not. I can add one server regardless of which one it is and adding other dag member would fail with 0x5b4.

Setup is AD Site A has main exchange server and Site B on amazon has the other. Both of them are connected via vpn link.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Alright. We finally were able to do the dag between the two versions.

Problems were related to NAT & Active Directory replications and disabling the following fixed it :-

IPv4 Checsum Offload Disabled
Large Send Offload Ver. 2 (ipV4) Disabled
Large Send Offload Ver. 2 (ipV6) Disabled
TCP Checksum Offload (ipv4) Disabled
TCP Checksum Offload (ipv6) Disabled
UDP Checksum Offload (ipv4) Disabled
UDP Checksum Offload (ipv6) Disabled

Thanks to this post which suggested the above "Failed to add a 2nd node to Exchange 2013 DAG in Windows 2012 Hyper-V Cluster
