I have been going through the Application log on our SBS2003 box and came across this error
Application Log
Source: ESE EvenitID: 447
Information Store (5824) First Storage Group: A bad page link (error -327) has been detected in a B-Tree (ObjectId: 622, PgnoRoot: 611) of database E:\Program Files\Exchsrvr\mdbdata\priv1.edb (703841 => 703830, 703607).
This problem generally occurs due to the antivirus scanning of Exchange database file directory or due to some hardware related issues. In both of these situations, the Exchange database file becomes problematic.
As per Microsoft, Event ID 447 indicates that the logical structure of database has got damaged due to one or more of below mentioned reasons: - Inappropriate log files were replayed while restoring the Exchange database - The disk caching had not commended transactions to hard drive and thus the Exchange Server had crashed. - The hard drive controller of Exchange Server is defective - The log files of Exchange database have been deleted, which were not completely committed to database
Because of the undetectable nature of logical corruption by the backup program, you might not be familiar with the issue. It appears only when you try to access a page, which has data stored on it.
To solve this issue, you will have to restore your database from the current backup. After restoration, you will need to make your database in consistent state, free from corruption. But, if you do not have proper backup, you will have to perform Exchange Server recovery by using a powerful tool like this: http://www.recover-computerdata.com/exchange-server-recovery.html
