Ok here I go...
Exchange 5.5 latesy SP and Outlook 2000 clients on the latest SP.
We are trying to find a way to automatically delete messages once a user places them in their delete folder.
We do not use .pst files but server mailboxes. Is their any way to do this...
Registry?! anything!

Not sure of this, however you have set the clients to auto delete everything in deleted items once the client is exited.

I do not think there is a setting for this, however, if you hold down the shift button when deleting, it will not be sent to the deleted items folder, it will be permanently deleted.

Correct me if I'm wrong but couldn't you just use the autoarchive feature on deleted items and set it to delete items older than 1 day?
Another possible option in Outlook is to go to tools : Options and click on the Other tab and check the "Empty deleted items folder upon exiting. Also, go to the Advanced options button on the dialog box and uncheck "warn before permanently deleting items" so the users are not promted to okay this when they exit Outlook. Maybe this tip can help you out. In Outlook go to Tools menu --> Options --> Other and check if the "Empty the deleted items folder upon exiting". If it is not selected then select it.
