Hi All
After just finishing getting up my new Exchange server, a user wanted the spelling of thier name to be changed. I attempted to just change the name at the domain controller, which didn't change anything on the exchange server, waited a while to see if it would. Then decided to try and delete the user and use the purge, without any luck, purge wasn't available (grayed out). Moments after this move I received a blank error screen and the exchange server lockup. I forced the reboot and after a disk scan and a very long bootup Exchange will not work. There seems to be trouble with several services starting up, DNS errors and a wide assortment of other network related erros on the Exchange Server, Domain Controller and the ISA server. Anyone have any ideas, I can supply details as need but all the errors now would be far too much to post at one time.

What Version of Exchange are you running? Have you tried an offline repair and defrag of the stores? Always make sure to make physical backups of the store first...

Nathan is right with out the versions of exchange and windows it's hard to give you any specifics. First, you need to fix the network/AD issues before you mess with exchange.
