Hi All ...

Recently I have been having problems trying to deliver mail to one domain. (att.net) I have been racking my brain and I can't seem to figure out why ... A little history about the network.  We are running windows advaced server 2000, and exchange 2000.  I have searched and searched, but I am not on any black list that I know of.

Here is a copy of the NDR:

emailaddress@att.net on 10/30/2006 4:23 PM
There was a SMTP communication problem with the recipient's email server. Please contact your system administrator.
<mail.mydomain.com #5.5.0 smtp;550-my.ip.address blocked by ldap:ou=rblmx,dc=worldnet,dc=att,dc=net>

Thx in advace ... Tony

Hi Tony.

AT&T is using a "broad brush" to block possible spam sources.  I have a customer that has a single IP for their mail server that at one time, long ago was part of a dynamic covad ip range.  Yesterday they started getting blocked.
I found through AT&T technical support that there is a website for submitting an unblock request.
That address is
www.att.net/general-info/rblinquiry.html
then select admin tools and make your request to have your mail server (IP) unblocked.

What a PAIN!!!!
The internet threads I saw talked about Comcast.  So expect to have to do this with more than one provider.

Ed
