We have 2 Exchange servers. Number 1 hosts 1/2 the mailboxes and #2 hots the second half. I can send and receive mail between the 2 without issue.
If I send a delivery receipt from a mail account on #2 to an account on #1, I receive no delivery receipt, though the mail IS delivered. Both servers are Exchange 2003.

1. did you track the messages from the mailbox in #2 server?
2.Did you check to see if mailboxes in server #1 generate delivery receipts? If not, check the delviery settings in Excahnge organisational settings to see if delivery receipt is allowed.
