I inherited a Windows 2000 domain that includes 3 exchange 2000 servers that have site relication turned on.  I have a backup of all the information stores.
I am about to begin installing a Windows 2003 server, running ADPrep /forestprep and ADPrep /domainprep on my primary domain controller and then promoting the domain to Windows 2003....hopefully not touching Exchange at all (keeping it running as is)
If disaster strikes and I lose the domain and have to reinstall a new domain from scratch would my users lose all their email?  Or could I restore the information store to new AD users?
My backups are the standard Microsoft Backup tool and I backup the information store.
