I installed the agents and now I feel I am missing something. How is it managed? What does it do? I do not see any info on black, grey or white-listing. Is it just removing attachments? I found a little bit in the help guide but it is all CLI, is this all we get? Forefront does not have anti-spam either, anyone hearing anything I am not. Any tips, thoughts, suggestions are welcomed. Thanks, Andy

I agree the documentation is a little sparse right now, but when you say installed the agents you mean you installed them on the Hub Transport server? If yes you should have a GUI for the filter agents under Organization Configuration > Hub Transport. BTW ForeFront for Exchange as well as ForeFront for SMTP Servers have both antispam and antivirus filtering. Just remember that ForeFront for Exchange Beta 1 only exist in a 64-bit version, so if you don't have any 64-bit hardware I recommend you use ForeFront for SMTP servers instead.

The Forefront program actually does very little to the anti-spam features in Exchange 2007. It does give you ability to update the anti-spam lists in exchange on a more frequent basis, but that is about it. Forefront is primarily designed to support anti-virus, which i believe is a BAD decision. Dont forget to update the anti-spam settings in Exchange to reference some well known anti-spam lists. This will help a great deal.

ForeFront also supports RBLs but agreed the antispam features are not nearly as good as for example GFI MailEssentials.
