Hello All, We have completed the process outlined below as part of a company name change and server replacement program. Original Configuration Server A, Windows 2000, Exchange 2000 Domain Controller for oldcompany.com. Exchange Server Server B, Windows 2000 Domain Controller for oldcompany.com File & Print 1. Add new server, Server C, for new domain newcompany.com within the same forest as oldcompany.com. 2. Install Exchange on new server (Server C). 3. Move all users from oldcompany.com to newcompany.com. 4. Move all Exchange Mailboxes from Server A to Server C using Move Mailbox tool. 5. Transferred all roles in Active Directory to Server C. Transferred Public Folders, Service Accounts and all to Server C. 6. Demoted and decommissioned Server B. 7. Removed Exchange from Server A. New Configuration Server A, Windows 2000 Domain Controller for oldcompany.com. Server C, Windows 2000, Exchange 2000 Domain Controller for newcompany.com Exchange Server Ok so I now want to decommission Server A, and with it the old domain. I'm concerned that Exchange 2000 may get upset when I do so. It still suggests traces of the old domain. Can anyone shed any light on this process and what if anything else I must do before retiring Server A? Many thanks, Alex
