Hi,
I am now currently facing issue after I have migrated my Exchange 2000 mailbox users to Exchange 2003 server.
The issue is my users will get the email bounce back intermittently when sending e-mail or someone will get e-mail bounce back when sending e-mail to my Exchange 2003 mailbox users.
Here is the sample of the error:
Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.
Subject: RE: Cisco 2651 (JP-VPNCORE) Sent: 3/2/2005 8:29 AM
The following recipient(s) could not be reached:
<"Name"> on 3/2/2005 8:30 AM The e-mail address could not be found. Perhaps the recipient moved to a different e-mail organization, or there was a mistake in the address. Check the address and try again. <"Exchange Server Name"."Domain Name" #5.1.0>
But there is no issue on the network site like the DNS registration on my Exchange server hostname as well.
Any idea? I really need help on this... please...

I did a brand new install of Exchange 2003, and I am having the same problem.
Did you find a solution?
Thanks.

I received the same type of messages during initial testing for my 2k -> 2k3 migration. The problem ended up being that, although my two exchange servers were in the same routing group (one 2k - the old one, and one 2k3 - the new one), mailboxes on the 2k3 server could not receive any mail from a mailbox on the 2k server. Anyway, in short, since we are using a smarthost to route mail in and out of the firewall, we needed to configure an SMTP connector for the routing group, and remove the smarthost from each individual SMTP VS settings. If this is helpful, or similar to your issue, just post and I can give more details. Good luck.
