Status: offline 		In standard Editon of Exchange Server the 16GB limit has been set for the total space assigned to .EDB and .STM Files. Means the information store can have a maximum of 16 GB database size. This limitation is not there in any enterprise edition of Exchange.

i am using exchange 2000 as u have menioned the max size of edb & stm is 16 GB.
now my database size reached to 13 GB.
what would u suggest should i create another information store with new edb & stm file....?
then what about my existing mailboxes.
i have 1000 mailboxes.
any suggestiion....

Status: offline 		Exchange standard doesn't support multiple stores, you would need enterprise edition to do that. You can have your users clean out their mailboxes and enforce limits. Although I think that 16 gigs is kind of small for 1000 mailboxes.
