HI
I have a problem that is when I create a new Mailbox Database I face the Error .
Failed
Error:
Exchange is unable to mount the database that you specified. Specified database: Esystem\Second Storage Group\EmailData; Error code: MapiExceptionADNotFound: Unable to mount database. (hr=0x80004005, ec=2417)
.
Exchange Management Shell command attempted:
mount-database -Identity 'CN=EmailData,CN=Second Storage Group,CN=InformationStore,CN=Esysetem,CN=Servers,CN=Exchange Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT),CN=Administrative Groups,CN=First Organization,CN=Microsoft Exchange,CN=Services,CN=Configuration,DC=Domain,DC=com'
Elapsed Time: 00:00:00
I have this server exchange 2007 SP1 running on Server 2003 SP2 R2 64-Bit
its also additional exchange to the old ex server 2003 SP2
what is this error
I check the evenlog and there is NO related error for this
and I ran EXPBA and it report no problem
I search MSN and Google for this and nothing usefull found
what shell I do
I am a fried that the Main database may fail if this present

HI
The problem is solved by leaving the exchange for a while and then try to remount it
I dont know why this happend
the EventViewer show NO error at all Eventviewer\App

But I still have this problem
There is also no error
I use mothod 2 and no usefull, and also no setting are changed

hi,
clear up the application log.
Then try to mount the database, what is the error message you are getting.
Can u try to create one test storage group to see that it is mounting or not?
Run exbpa tool. or EXDRA tool

MDB failed to start. But I guess I find a fix that is to disable the qouta for the Mailbox Databaseso I create a mailbox database without mounting itand then disable the mailbox qouta and then mount itit work finebut I dont know if there is any other suggestionsthanks

hi mate,
Because of Qouta your database is not mounting?
What is the qouta limit you have set for the database.
R u able to mount any other database which is having same quota or test storage group.

Not Sure,
Some time when I disable the disk qouta it work fine and the other it dont
but all the time when I finish the database without mounting it and simply close the wizrd and Right Click on the database and select mount it
it just mount successfully

its with exchange default setting 2411520

any database created it should not be mounted unless I close the wizard and then mount it
